What you'll do in this role:

• Provide the highest level of customer service
• Exceed personal sales targets on a consistent basis as set by the management, as well as accept guidance and direction regarding performance
• Educate customers on product specifications in the ski and snowboard industries and help them choose the right product for their adventures
• Receive/process stock involving: unpacking, counting, tagging as required, folding, sizing and placing on the floor, with overflow stock in back room
• Become informed and maintain product knowledge through consistent attendance at training sessions
• Assist with merchandise presentation and restocking
• Answers phone inquiries as required
• Maintain appropriate paperwork regarding returns, telephone and special orders
• Utilize the Point of Sale cash system, processes payments, refunds and exchanges and issues gift cards
• Provide feedback to product buyers as needed
• Create and maintain a clean inviting atmosphere for customers
• Promote the Skiis & Biikes brand and love of sport philosophy

Requirements for this role:

• Proven sales experience or an interest in sales
• Passion, knowledge and involvement in athletic pursuits (skiing, biking, or anything active)
• Ability to establish strong interpersonal relationships and develop a rapport with customers
• Excellent organization and communication skills

E-COMMERCE ASSISTANT

FULL TIME or PART TIME

Reporting to the Online Manager, the E-commerce Assistant is responsible for the maintenance, implementation and fulfillment of the online store, Amazon store and eBay stores.

What you'll do in this role:

• Creates descriptions for online product and edits staff contributions
• Assists with gathering information from Buyers and Vendors regarding online store content
• Fulfills orders with 100% accuracy and transparency
• Ensures consistency in description writing, branding, images and overall online store appearance
• Reports price discrepancies and errors, takes steps to correct these
• Reacts quickly to managing pricing needs in eBay store
• Reacts quickly to customer inquiries and orders
• Accurately and courteously responds to customer requests for information and order inquiries
• Provides excellent customer service to Skiis & Biikes’ internal and external customers
• Utilizes Inventory Management System to locate and fulfill orders being shipped from other Skiis & Biikes locations
• Identifies and reports opportunities to continuously improve the online experience for Skiis & Biikes customers
• Works with buyers and online manager to identify product to be posted on eBay and Amazon stores
• Organizes and maintains shipping equipment, notifies Online Manager about low packaging stock
• Serves as a role model for Skiis & Biikes policies and procedures

Requirements for this role:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, Google Chrome, Amazon, and eBay
• Ability to quickly learn new computing software
• Proven organizational skills and ability to produce accurate and detail-oriented work
• Prior experience in e-commerce including retail business and fulfillment preferred
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy
• High energy level with a strong work ethic
• Motivated to maintain an accurate and precise online presence for Skiis & Biikes
• Understanding of and identification with the basic goals of the organization
• Strong analytical ability coupled with creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to handle repetitive tasks
• Excellent organizational skills to prioritize workload
• University degree strongly preferred

SKI & SNOWBOARD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

What you will do in this role:

• Ensuring customers are receiving excellent service and the products they need for safe, enjoyable cycling, skiing, and snowboarding
• Continuously updating knowledge of ski and bike mechanics and maintenance
• Working collaboratively with service shop staff
• Assembling, maintaining and repairing bikes within Skiis & Biikes' productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
• Mounting ski and snowboard bindings, tuning and repairing skis and snowboards within Skiis & Biikes' productivity, quality, and safety guidelines
• Assisting customers in selecting appropriate parts, accessories, and services to meet their needs and ensure their ski, snowboard, and cycling experiences are safe and enjoyable
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Answers phone inquiries as required
• Working collaboratively as a contributing member of the Skiis & Biikes Team to create an excellent customer service experience

Requirements for this role:

• 1-2 years experience in bike assembly, repair and maintenance in a bike shop and/or 1-2 years experience in ski mounting, repair, and tuning in a ski shop.
• Experience working with a variety of bikes i.e. kids bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, city bikes etc. Knowledgeable about latest bike equipment and technologies
• Passion for cycling and/or skiing
• Mechanical aptitude
• Strong teamwork skills and team orientation
• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated organization and time management skills
• Retail and/or customer service experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Work well under pressure
• Availability to work a variety of shifts from Monday to Sunday
• Bike or ski mechanic technical training considered an asset
