Since 1907, Rossignol has celebrated skiing, with its early beginnings in wood crafted skis to the first Olympic victories, creating race champions and making products for skiers in every level. Rossignol Apparel was founded in 2015, consisting of both performance and resort skiwear as well as lifestyle apparel. Inspired by French roots and historical ski heritage, Rossignol is on the forefront of outfitting skiers with style, quality and performance, focusing on the balance between aesthetics and function.
Beyond their stylish design, high-tech nature and elegance, Rossignol skis and clothing are recognizable at first glance. Unique and distinctive emblems are the legacy of a genuine and authentic heritage. They have stood the test of time and, in doing so, have given the brand depth, character and identity.
An iconic symbol of Rossignol's heritage with an ode to its French ski community: blue, white and red. The logo and colours can be found in all the clothing collections making it recognizable as Rossignol skiwear and apparel.
These three emblematic colours also appear in horizontal, skewed or vertical lines… showing the impression left by skis in the snow, encouraging us to move, follow a course, a direction. - Rossignol
A blue that stands out against the white of the snow, That blue, the “Strato blue”, can now be found in the linings of jackets, the insides of hoods, on zips, etc. Both a nod to the past and a genuine aspect of the brand’s DNA.
The two parallel stripes symbolize the skis and ski tracks as a reference to Rossignol's origins. These stripes are often found on the sleeves of ski jackets and baselayers. The V-shape found both in the logo and in some of the quilting details symbolizes victory.
Rossignol Courbe Womens Jacket
"Comfortable, warm, ready for heavy snow." - customer
We chose this jacket because of its minimalistic style with high performance features. The front panels has flattering v shape quilting with the sidecut details making the jacket look slimming and clean, the hood is easy to remove for extra versatility. It comes in a variety of colours including the iconic Strato blue with the classic two strips on the arm.
The Courbe has 20k ratings for both waterproofness and breathability, a rare find when it comes to on piste ski jackets. It also features featherless 3M Thinsulate insulation which is mapped to warmth to certain areas while maintaining breathability.
Despite it being minimal on the outside with its sleekline side zip hand pockets and subtle waterproof main zipper, we would like to point out it's whats on the inside that really makes this jacket. There are internal stash pockets, an adjustable hem and snowskirt, all essential features are available in this jacket.
And yes, it has pit zips, although they are mesh lined and partial pit vents so if you are looking for full zip vents this may not be the jacket for you.
This is an excellent choice for the avid resort skier who is looking for that high performance sleek with all the features ski jacket.
Rossignol Fonction Mens Ski Jacket
"Its understated, classic style is accented by two wide, textured stripes on the sleeves and back, symbolizing speed and precision."
The Fonction is simple on the outside but packed with all the features you would want in a good resort ski jacket so its no surprise that its Rossignol's bestseller when it comes to Mens performance ski jackets.
It has 20k ratings for both waterproofness and breathability with high performance 3M Thinsulate insulation. All the seams are heat sealed for extra durability.
We love this jacket because of its ability to keep a sleek fit while giving the highest output of features. There are easy to reach chest and hand zippers, pockets that fit everything including a sleeve pass pocket on the left arm. The slightly dropped hem sleeve and wrist gaiters provides extra protection especially on a windy day in Tremblant or Vermont.
The only downside is the fixed hood which for some skiers who want the option to remove the hood we would suggest the Rossignol Aile Mens ski jacket.
This is a great starter jacket for those just getting into the sport as well as a seasoned skier who is looking for a slimmer fitting jacket that isn't too long in length. Overall a great jacket at a great price.
Rossignol Depart Womens Ski Jacket
"The must-have ski jacket with a sleek, modern style."
Listed as one of the "Must have" ski jackets for the season, the Rossignol Depart jacket is a powerhouse and our top pick when it comes to premium skiwear. Super sleek quilted front panel that gives it a feminine flow without compromising on warmth with its 20k ratings for its membrane and insulation.
The Depart jacket has 3M Thinsulate Featherless insulation mapped under the arms, sides and hood keeping you warm even in wet conditions.
We love this jacket because its got style without compromising on the essentials in a ski jacket and its got a removable fur trip for that extra bit of fun and its a great down alternative as it has the same warmth of down, its also incredibly lightweight so you won't feel bulky as you make your carves down the mountain.
We also like a jacket with pit zips, especially when it comes to a heavily insulated jacket like the Depart, you need that extra ventilation for those mid day high temperatures and sunny days. It is a very warm jacket so if you are looking for a all in one no multilayer set up this is a great jacket.
For the skier who wants style and maximum performance this ones for you.
Rossignol Rapide Mens Ski Jacket
"Fantastic 'street to hill' look." - SnowMagazine
One jacket zero layering involved. If thats the kind of set up you want, then the Rossignol Rapide jacket is the ultimate choice.
Rapide is packed with insulation and is built with a slimmer fit in mind so if you want a bit of room we would suggest going a size up. Tested for long days in colder weather, the Rapide can withstand wet conditions with its heat sealed seams in vulnerable areas.
In terms of features, it has fleece backed hand pockets, mesh dump pocket on the inside, pass pocket on the left sleeve, powder skirt, wrist gaiters and adjustable hem. There isn't anything too special, just a simple all purpose ski jacket.
We recommend this jacket as an option for hitting the slopes and then wandering through the village, its minimalistic enough to pass off as a regular coat as well as a ski jacket. Overall a good jacket with lots of warmth.
